Hazbin Hotel's Creator Has Seen Fans' Second Season Predictions — With Some Good News

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform soon, and fan speculation has been widespread.

Season 1 introduces a diverse group of personalities living within Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other with musical numbers about their clashes, and establishes heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel audience devotion.

The community's expectations for season 2 vary widely, but certain themes emerge over and over: Could Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the binding agreement affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with audience demands as the main goal," the creator stated earlier this year. "But I believe that me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That could imply fans have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how fast season 2 moves, and how many of what they're waiting for happens now.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we get some really amazing reveals, some really cool origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — especially in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a few fans create a bingo card about the new season," she mentions. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've already completed a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
