Exactly 135 days after the previous coach's initial media briefing as Rangers manager, successor Danny Rohl met with reporters at Rangers' stadium for the initial occasion.

The scale of the challenge ahead of him is widely recognized, considering Martin's chaotic and disappointing four-month spell.

The ex- Wednesday manager was joined by club chairman Andrew Cavenagh, along with the frequently questioned duo of football director Kevin Thelwell and chief executive Patrick Stewart.

However, what exactly was revealed from the 36-year-old coach's first public appearance as the club's manager?

The Manager's Primary Focus - Winning is Everything

One thing emerged loud and clear from Rohl's initial presentation before the local press - he understands the necessity to secure victories, and do so rapidly.

The previous manager Martin lasted only 17 matches and 123 days in charge, so the question arose about what timeframe Rohl believes is reasonable to transform the underperforming squad.

While skillfully avoiding a specific response that could bring later expectations, the coach's message was quite clear.

"Hopefully as soon as possible," he stated. "This is essential.
"In football you have not much time. One can talk about long-term vision but we know it concerns immediate results and the short-term is about securing victories. This is what I demand.
"One thing is also obvious - I need every squad member to understand how we want to play. I return to my primary theme: it's winning, entertaining football and unity. If you follow this order, I believe that I will remain for years at the club."

Expectations are Standard

The previous manager needed a police escort to leave the Falkirk Stadium after his final match as manager.

We've witnessed how toxic situations can become at sports teams when results decline. Protests have almost become a regular part of the matchday atmosphere on both sides of the city currently.

As Rangers' youngest manager in history, the question asked about which attributes the coach thinks he has that would allow him to cope, never mind excel, in one of the highest-pressure roles in British football?

"I think pressure in this business are standard," he stated. "You must learn that very quickly.
"I think certain individuals could reference my age but I'm 16 years on this path. I had an excellent opportunity to work with the German club and serve as only an assistant coach, but I experienced what it means to manage a team and the demands you face.
"When you start winning games and then some critics claim you must play attractive football. That becomes the stage but that's exactly my intention. I relish those expectations and I'm excited for the future."

Thelwell Defends Chermiti Signing & Appointing His Son

Kevin Thelwell media conference

The media pack had plenty of questions from the media directed at Thelwell.

Much discussion has focused on the appointment of his son as head of recruitment, with fans unconvinced about his qualifications for the role.

Nevertheless, he justified and clarified the decision to bring his son to the club.

"It remains uncomfortable to hear and in appearance I think everyone understood when we made this decision to appoint him that he'd be viewed negatively," Thelwell said.
"The reality of circumstances is that we aim to bring the top players to this club.
"My view on his professional path and situation is he didn't need family help in football.
"He served at Villa as a senior scout, he then joined Norwich City as scouting chief and then was elevated to development role.
"Prior to our hiring him, multiple Premier League clubs sought to acquire him. Our approach from the start of the process was consult with the CEO, Andrew and deputy chairman Marathe about this matter.
"I was highly transparent and I believe Robbie probably underwent a stricter procedure than anybody else employee by the team.
"I'm certain is that he will work constantly to be successful for Rangers and I'm looking forward to him demonstrating that he'll become an excellent staff member for Rangers."

Additionally, Thelwell supported the acquisition of striker Youssef Chermiti, who joined Rangers for an alleged initial fee of £8m, having failed to find the net in 24 games for his previous club.

It was Thelwell who transferred the Portugal young international to Merseyside from Sporting Lisbon - once more for large funds in a £15m transfer.

The question came if he supports his multi-million pound signing, who is yet to score in seven matches for the club.

"Absolutely, very much so," Thelwell responded. "I think the striker represents who's possesses great ability.
"I've never doubted him whatsoever. Again, I believe Danny will assist in maximize the potential out of the player.
"It's very initial stages for him, he remains young talent and naturally with inexperienced players they sometimes require patience.
"But I'm certain throughout of his time at the club he'll demonstrate that he's a highly capable footballer."

The CEO Acknowledges Supporters' Disappointment and Hurt

Stewart was also facing firing line, considering the vitriol that has been directed at him by certain of the club's fans.

There was even a sign in the stadium during the recent tie with United inviting Stewart - and the sporting director - to depart before being removed for him.

Similar to the sporting director, the CEO did not avoid the issue.

"I completely appreciate the frustration and hurt that the supporters are feeling because results this season haven't been expectations and nobody's satisfied with them," he said.
"The pain and frustration they feel is mirrored within the leadership.
"Recognize that there must exist a channel for those frustrations and in my role, I'm responsible.
"I serve as lightning rod for such issues and my role as a
